In Case You Missed It...



On Friday, February 21, 2025, ACCNJ held an Educational Workshop on De-Escalation Training.

Attendees enhanced their conflict resolution skills, ultimately contributing to a more secure, safe and positive workplace culture.

ACCNJ kicked off its Plan Reading Course on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, with an introductory class covering topics such as identifying plan legends, symbols, dates, details, and elevations.

Required Business Entity Annual Statement

In Bulletin 09-2025, we notified Active Members that for-profit business entities that have received $50?000 or more through government contracts in a calendar year must file the Business Entity Annual Statement (Form BE) electronically with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission. CTA Update: Filing Requirements Back in Effect After Nationwide Injunction Lifted?

In an Email Alert issued February 20, 2025, we informed members about an update regarding the Corporate Transparency Act, enforcement of which had been temporarily halted nationwide, but is now back in effect. Reach out to the Association Office for more details.

Federal Court Issues Preliminary Injunction Against Anti-DEI Executive Orders

In an Email Alert issued February 27, 2025, we notified members a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction temporarily blocking significant provisions of two executive orders related to diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. Reach out to the Association Office for more details.

AGC of America


Tariffs & Immigration Resources

In an Email Alert issued January 31, 2025, ACCNJ shared a memo and webinar from Associated General Contractors of America to help federal and federal-aid contractors understand the resulting impacts of tariffs. Since then, AGC has created a Tariff Resource Center for contractors, which is updated continuously as the situation evolves. In addition, they have also created an Immigration Resource Center to help contractors navigate the post-election immigration landscape.

Safety Council Meeting

In Bulletin 13-2025, we notified members ACCNJ will host its next Safety Council Meeting on April 11, 2025, at the Association Offices, Edison, NJ, 3rd Floor Conference Room, at 11:30am. We will welcome Dr. Jeff Altholz, a certified MRO and national expert on workplace drug testing in Labor Management workplaces, who will talk about the Federal DOT drug testing program. ACCNJ 2025 Scholarship Program

In Bulletin 14-2025, we informed Active Members ACCNJ is pleased to offer the 2025 ACCNJ Scholarship Program. The scholarship program is aimed at assisting employees of ACCNJ Active Member firms with their children’s and grandchildren’s higher education needs. The program also offers the John F. REMINDER: ACCNJ Educational Workshop Series

Tuition Reimbursement Program

As a reminder, in Bulletin 04-2024, we informed Active Members the ACCNJ Industry Advancement Trust (IAT) has approved the continuation of the Tuition Reimbursement Program for eligible, full-time employees of ACCNJ member firms that contribute to the IAT. The courses selected must be aimed at providing job-related knowledge and skills for construction personnel in either office or field operations. 2025 CBIZ National Construction Survey

CBIZ is excited to launch their 2025 National Construction Survey and ACCNJ members are invited to participate. Federal Tax Reform Timing Is Still Uncertain (waiting to hear back from Joe Boccia if this is still relevant today)

Following the January inauguration, a flurry of executive orders, and Senate confirmations rolling in, the timing of when federal tax reform will take place still appears to be undecided amongst the Republican party. If federal tax reform cannot be passed, the vast majority of individual and private businesses' federal income taxes will significantly increase. Assistant Project Manager seeking full time employment in project/site management, construction operations, general engineering, or estimating. Work experience includes simultaneous management of contracts for several projects and budget management for multi-million-dollar projects through design, procurement, construction and closeout, as well as conducting site visits and preparing field reports. Skills include Autodesk, AutoCAD, e-builder, MATLAB, and Microsoft Suite.
