“Accessibility is nothing without usability.”

“Accessibility is nothing without usability.”

“Accessibility is nothing without usability.”

These are the perfect words to summarize World Usability Day, and according to David Sloan, this is also the rallying cry for this occasion.

Sloan says that people with disabilities want products that are usable, just like everyone else. “So, let's not separate the two,” he adds.

“Even though organizationally, accessibility might be handled in legal compliance or DEIA, it's all part of the goal to make usable and useful products for everyone,” Sloan says. He advises that we treat accessibility and usability as a single focus; a single goal.
