We have expanded our branch network and are present in seven regions of Ghana, with 53 branches making us one of the most physically accessible banks in the country. Our global branch network exceeds 700.

Our expansion strategy has taken banking services to the last mile through Access Closa, our Agency banking proposition. It employs the services of certified agents who offer day-to-day retail services in neighbourhoods, to provide everyday banking services. Agent outlets include pharmacy shops, salons, barber shops, retail grocery shops, etcetera. Access Bank has over 3000 agents in Ghana and over 180,000 agents globally, offering banking services to customers. We are present in three continents (Africa, Europe and Asia), across 17 countries including UK, UAE, China, India, and Lebanon, offering over 180,000 Point of Sale (POS) and over 2,800 Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), ensuring regional accessibility.

Our life-changing interventions in the above priority areas have endeared us to our communities of operation and attracted recognition both locally and globally. We have for the past four consecutive years been commended for our outstanding commitment to improving lives through our CSR initiatives. Our ‘Fist Against Fistula’ Campaign, ended with close to 200 sufferers of this life- threatening condition, restored to live wholesome lives.

In 2022, the Bank made a judicious contribution to Government of Ghana’s Ghana Green Project, aimed at restoring depleted vegetation to contribute to solving climate change crisis. Employees of the bank also pursue yearly projects in their respective communities aimed at impacting lives by supporting initiatives under health, education, sports, and social welfare. Notable among the projects implemented in the past year were prosthetic repairs for ten beneficiaries in partnership with the National Prosthetics and Orthotics Centre, provision of mechanized beds, a phototherapy machine, hospital equipment and supplies for four regional hospitals, facelift for orphanages, and sporting kits for schools among others. These outstanding projects led to the winning of eleven awards in 2022; Euro Money, Global Finance, Global Brands, Finance Derivative, Ghana Club 100 and Sustainable and Social Investment Awards among others.
