Accepting it ALL -- Even the Mess

Accepting it ALL -- Even the Mess

Accepting yourself without changing yourself.

Of all the work I do with my clients, it is this.

You don't have to change who you are to be successful.

Your mess, your chaos, your quirks — even what you see as weaknesses — are your greatest superpowers if you know how to work with them.

You don't have to shove yourself into a small, square box if you are a full, round outrageous circle.

And, for God’s sake, stop beating yourself up for not fitting into all the nooks and crevices being thrown at you all day long on the Internet.

Part of the?Brave YES Mindset?work I do with my clients is developing a solid sense of self-acceptance — and setting grounded, courageous goals that match the “you on the inside, not just the you” on the outside.

Radical Acceptance is absolutely required in order to ultimately do bolder, braver work to grow your personal brand and bottom line.

When you lack self-acceptance, it shows up in places you wouldn’t expect it.

  • In your long list of shoulds that linger in the back of your mind all day long.
  • In your exhaustion trying to meet ridiculous goals that, once done, will change you and your life drastically!!
  • In the frustration of not feeling like you fit in anywhere while simultaneously desperate to fit in everywhere.
  • In the resentment you feel when you don’t feel good enough, especially when compared to others who you are convinced have their shit together while you do not.
  • In beating yourself up for not being further along on the path of your ultimate vision.

The longer you stay in a constant state of self-critique — fixing, changing, tweaking, editing yourself — the longer it takes to move into your fully embodied YES, THIS IS ME extraordinary self.

That’s where I want you to land … grounded in your true, authentic zone of genius and?setting Brave YES Goals?that excite you and light your inner fire.

Because that is where true courage happens.

We don’t Brave Up by chasing goals that others declare are important.

We Brave Up when we’re doing work that aligns with who we really already are in this world.

Bloom where you are planted.

Start where you are.

So, begin to practice Radical Self-Acceptance and start to embrace who you are at your core.

Get started by making a list of everything you need to accept about yourself such as …

  • Your life circumstances
  • Your knowledge gaps
  • Your creative process
  • Your disorganization
  • Your personality
  • Your dreams
  • Your beliefs and values
  • Your way of being
  • Your work style
  • Your rest style.
  • Your deep desires

“If you’ve ever wished for a friend who would love you as you are, appreciate your genius, and make space for your foibles, welcome you when you’re funny and shiny and when you’re a complete mess—well, I can introduce you to this person. Rather, your meditation practice can. He or she has been there the whole time. You are the one you’ve been waiting for, as they say.” ―?Susan Piver
