Acceptance and Authenticity in a Virtual World?

Acceptance and Authenticity in a Virtual World?

This student film, and a series of others united by the theme of Acceptance and Authenticity was made back in 2019.

The accompanying article was also written pre- COVID-19 and remote learning, and has just been published in our Traidhos Quarterly magazine.

It seems all the more relevant now, as we are all struggling to find human connection, and spaces beyond social media in which to connect with others.

This phenomenal photo is the work of photographer and filmmaker Phil Borges, as part of his documentary feature Crazywise.

Further to his visit to Prem International School within the Artist Residency Thailand programme, our students produced this series of short documentary films, engaging deeply with questions of how we connect with others and self in this all-too-often virtual world of ours.

Read all about this transformative educational experience and watch the wonderful student videos here.

Phil and I are both very proud of our brave young documentary film-makers, and I think the results speak for themselves.

So relevant for humans and animals (and more as we know) ! Loved those few minutes shared on this videos
