Accept what you like reject what you don't

Remember you arrived naked into this world and there’s no guarantees that you’ll always get what you want. In fact, life has a way of taking twists and turns that you never have imagined before. To be content in life a person must accept what comes whether it is wealth or poverty, joys or pain. There are many things that are worthwhile doing that take little or no money. I’m sorry your dreams aren’t coming true as you had hoped. But be assured that you can be happy and have good friends without wealth.

To paraphrase Reinhold Niebuhr: "May you have the serenity to accept the things you cannot change, courage to change the things you can, and wisdom in knowing the difference between these two. And may you dream new dreams that can make your life fulfilling". How do I manage not having the power to change this? That’s bullshit. An excuse. You have simply acknowledged that you can’t achieve what you want from where you are, right now, in your life — you have to change your attitudes and behavior, and work hard at doing it.

You will only do and get what others do and have if you live within their limitations. You have to exceed those limitations, and a good place to start is by inspecting and ditching that belief that you are powerless. Find the emotional route if you have to, but get rid of that belief at all costs. Question for you: How do you think certain people become musicians or entrepreneurs? They work at it, to the point that they would rather die than not do it.

Of course, I don’t know your socio-economic condition exactly, but I do know you have a computer! No doubt, it is easier for some than others, due to easier access to resources that facilitate their motives. Nevertheless, a computer means you could learn to program, for example. Earn money, use that money to invest in something larger. Etc. Look for advice if you have to. Specifically seek those who have been in your position, and got out of it.

Sure, you may never purchase a helicopter or plane, for example, but so the fuck what? Why would the absence of that threaten your happiness and ability to positively affect yourself and those around you, earn money, and get the experiences you want? Well…it doesn’t. This journey could and will probably takes years. It has taken me a year to eradicate the attitude that you currently sustain. Change your mind, then change your life, because only you can!

You have to take responsibility. You have the power to accept your question's concept as fact and you have the power to denounce it as a negative opinion, meant to keep you in a negative, powerless place. Consider a few things: As you mature, what you want in life may change significantly. You will notice a deeper appreciation for yourself as you discover self-love and that you don't need the validation of others to achieve a better place in life. Consider how your current "wants" add value to your mature life. Will you still be paying for your current wants long after their desirability and value have faded? Will you be able to benefit financially from your "want" after you have spent the money you earned on it?

You can't buy friends that add value to your personality or life. The kind of people who are there for the money intend to affect the depletion of your money. The kind of people who help you become a better person always make you feel like a better person for having known them, long before and after your money is of noticeable growth. Be grateful for the small values in your life; they help you develop true appreciation and revelation for the things you should want in your life, such as a better perspective.

A better perspective always gives you the power to change your life for the better. Your mind is the best personal commodity you own free and clear. Add information to it, twist and turn the options you learn about and create an image of what you truly need to be happy. I'm not going to tell you that money can't buy happiness because it can buy even simple things that make life easier. Consider though, every little happiness that adds up when you live a simple grateful life, one day at a time. As you haven't elaborated on what you mean by "from here on out", I'm not sure if I've answered your question with appropriate relevance. However, having achieved any of the above considerations, I can't imagine living that kind of life would be unbearable.

Smme say life is that sadistic in it’s nature. It will give you everything you want just not when you want it maybe to rob you the pleasure of having it or maybe to teach you another lesson. Maybe you can;t entirely blame life for the same. Maybe you yourself are responsible for wanting so many different things, all at once or one at a time. No matter which of these theories you chose to go with or if you accept or reject both, the truth is you are just as helpless as anybody else living on the face of Earth. Whatever life throws at you, accept it, change whatever you can and rationalize whatever can’t be changed.

Also evolution is another truth of life we chose to ignore. If you wish to have few good friends, make an effort. I remember, when I was 5, my grandfather used to take me to the park and ask the other kids to play with me, they’d do it cause he asked them to but now I’m 21 and I need to take responsibility of my own self. I need to learn to cherish the good people in my life, make an effort for them and maybe let go of the ones who don’t want me around. Calling your life miserable will never help, sulking won’t do any good either. If there is anything that can make you a better person, go for it and you will surely see things around you change. Cheers!
