Accenture at ServiceNow Knowledge 19: IT as an Advisor to the Business on Innovation and Transformation
Andrew Wilson
Chief Executive Officer | Board Director | Mission Critical Operator | Digital Transformer | Business Strategist | Visionary Leader
Being a CIO has never been more interesting. Today’s CIO faces a world of platforms and transformational change. At Accenture, we see platforms as powering the modern digital agenda and supporting new business models and the ecosystems around them. Accenture has embraced cloud-based, highly configurable and scalable platforms. This includes ServiceNow.
I’ll be sharing our experience with others at the upcoming ServiceNow Knowledge 19, the largest gathering of ServiceNow customers and partners, on May 5-9 in Las Vegas. This year’s event is expected to include 20,000 attendees globally.
Specifically, I will be hosting an Accenture Power Session during the event featuring two guests whom I am honored to have join us, Paola Arbour, Chief Information Officer of Tenet Health, and Misty Isaacs, Senior Director of IT at Chesapeake Energy. I hope you can join us.
We will be participating in a lively talk-show style discussion on “IT as a Business Advisor Now…And in the Post-Digital Era.” Digital transformation grants enterprises exceptional capabilities, but it also creates enormous expectations that businesses need to meet. IT leaders have an opportunity to play a role in guiding the business through innovation and transformation to find a balance between tactical, near-term and long-term goals with the “art of the possible.”
We plan to talk through our actual transformation stories, where each of our organizations is on its journey, and how we have engaged other business leaders to lead the enterprise through digital disruption. We’ll discuss some of the challenges as well as the successes in working with the business. We’ll also dive into some emerging technology trends highlighted in the recently released Accenture Technology Vision 2019 that IT can use to help businesses differentiate in the post-digital future.
I look forward to seeing many of you attending Knowledge 19 and would be delighted to have you come join us at the power session on Wednesday, May 8, from 10:45 a.m. – 11:35 a.m. in The Venetian Ballroom F-K. It should be an informative experience.
