Accenture Accelerates Innovation Investment in the U.S.
At Accenture, we believe the most successful companies are continuous innovators, leveraging the power of digital, cloud, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. The next wave of competitiveness will come from this kind of innovation.
That is why I am excited today to announce that we are making a major investment in the U.S to bring innovation to the doorsteps of our clients.
We plan to open 10 new innovation hubs in key cities across the U.S. and expand our regional network of technology delivery centers by 2020. This expansion will enable us to collaborate even more closely with our clients and deliver innovative solutions at scale, quickly.
We are also investing $1.4 billion in training our people, giving them the skills they covet and our clients need. And we will create 15,000 highly-skilled jobs across our business as we focus on being the innovation partner of choice for our clients. This investment will bring our total workforce in the U.S. to more than 65,000 people. That’s an increase of 30 percent by 2020.
One of the things that excites me the most personally is that we are creating opportunities for our people to participate in one of the most dynamic parts of the American economy.
Today marks a key moment for Accenture to help our people and our clients play an even bigger part in the nation’s growth and innovation agenda. We have served clients in the U.S. for five decades and are proud to be contributing to the nation’s job creation and continued leadership in innovation. Learn more here.

7 年The vision of innovation hubs is compelling and there may be a potential for them to be placed more in the productivity lines beyond showrooms to make sure they become self sustaining with innovation to action lines as spokes in the wheel to continuously fund the hubs from ROI (building from Anush's line below). What if the hub is not the hub, but the hub is the potential of each and every worker to optimize their potential with knowledge overlays to leverage technology to it's optimal potential. Your vision is compelling and their are many outgrowths of potential. It is certain that every employee has a role on growth, risk and logistics and it is lest certain that all are optimizing the possibility of potential to cover those needs in manner to help as an engine of synergy. This is an exciting time of potential for the teams that will pursue and work with optimized potential.

7 年Julie, I Would be very interested in potential to work with Accenture and bring Innovation PODs (Points on Development Services) to integrate key points across Economics, Risk, Growth Strategy, Logistics, Financial, Legal, Communications and Technology. I am confident there are tons of great people at Accenture and am also confident that I could bring strong value to teamwork. Innovation comes from many places https://dcarsoncpamfc1.joomla.com/ but not so many that can work in lean and agile manners to bridge economics, risk, financials, legal, technology and teamwork for improvements on Entity, Policy and Community needs. I would be pleased to bring that value to support key needs at Accenture. I would value to connect and speak about the potential where we meet. Since this post is about innovation pathways it seems a reasonable point to reach out from. Knowledge seeks knowledge to learn develop and grow so there are obvious reasons why bringing our initiatives to a strong ground like Accenture could be a smart move for development all around.
