Eleven years ago we started Mitchell & Dickinson (www.mitchellanddickinson.co.uk) with the focus on insulating listed and period properties. We are a pure climate change company and have tried and tested solutions in draft exclusion, loft insulation as well as windows, where we use plexiglass secondary glazing that is removable avoiding the need for planning permission.
Having grown out of our home in North Devon we now also have hubs in Bristol, Newbury and the South Coast. We are working our way towards London, the prize. Sales in the last quarter were ￡1.1 million and we estimate our company has achieved around 37,000 tonnes of CO2 avoided. We have insulated over 1,200 homes as well as the entire privately owned village of Clovelly where all buildings are listed. We are also in the process of insulating County Hall in Exeter.
We were established to combat climate change. Now that extreme weather, school strikes and civil disobedience around the need to insulate Britain are all growing, combined with skyrocketing fuel bills, this means our company is very well positioned to undertake significant expansion. As we enter our next, accelerated phase of growth, we are inviting contact from individuals who believe they have the skills required to join our board.
