The challenge was to understand user needs, design a novel digital service, and navigate the complexities of market entry. Collaborating with YOO, the innovation team at Baloise embarked on a human-centered and needs-oriented research journey to translate their vision into a tangible product/service concept. Challenge

The key challenges for Baloise were to replace outdated technology with a modern solution, ensure data migration, offer the latest budget templates, enable wider applications, and incorporate a donation option. The project required an efficient and transparent approach to address the evolving needs of the target audience while maintaining data privacy. The innovative solution had to be cost-effective, user-friendly, and agile enough to adapt to the dynamic market landscape.

Solution

YOO, together with Baloise's innovation team, took a holistic approach to ideation and conceptual design, transforming the idea into a concrete product/service blueprint. Through human-centric research and iterative development, a web app and service landscape were created, allowing users to easily manage their budgets and personal finances. Continuous market studies, competitor analyses, and user testing were conducted to refine the product further. By involving YOO right from the start, Baloise experienced the value of a fully integrated project partnership, resulting in an efficient and successful launch of the innovative digital service.

The specialists from YOO helped with their brainpower especially in the translation performance of the customer requirement into a blueprint, which served as the basis for the internal milestones/gates.
