Accelerating acceptance of the replacement of animal testing around a connected world of data and collaboration

The data islands are not helping our goal of increasing acceptance of data from the new methods being developed to replace animal testing. We have been working on solutions to help partners and labs better harmonise and integrate their data on alternative methods research programs. To have more impact on the goal of a SaferWorldbyDesign and bringing partners together to accelerate our impact we have developed the EdelweissData product as an enabler.

In particular, our new EdelweissData in the Lab solution provides a high-quality management of data from the machines in the lab through to insight for the jobs to be done by the users. All data is processed in robust workflows into the EdelweissData data infrastructure and available for results analysis, visualization and reporting work. Error-prone approaches with spreadsheets are eliminated and time is saved for the user, providing both a strong business-case and freeing up the knowledge workers to concentrate on higher value work. The strong attention paid to metadata supports a robust cross-dataset search and integrated analysis. Automated ingestion and harmonization of legacy data moves productivity forward leaving the past of not finding information behind. 

We aim to leverage EdelweissData to enable researchers and organizations to have all data - internal and external - better organized and to obtain increasing regulatory acceptance of evidence of new methods.
