Fewer meetings and async management.

Working async? How are things going? Organizations are using tools like Loom and Clapp to share updates with their teams, but it's difficult to manage the team and hold people accountable.

Nova has mastered how teams collaborate and perform their best work even when they work async. Leaders are also able to manage their teams async (track progress, share best practices, and keep everyone on the same page). In order to ensure team members are engaged and accountable, our platform is built based on organizational and group psychology. Because of this, Nova tracks when people participate and share their knowledge, and all our sessions include due dates and send reminders to all participants. To ensure async work is effective, we do the following.

It's not enough to send a video and hope people watch it. We send a video, track who has watched it, publish it publicly, and invite people to share ideas, discuss alternatives, etc. The only difference is that people can pick what time of the day to participate, while it feels like as collaborative and engaging as a traditional meeting.

One of the greatest benefits is that team members are engaged, in fact, more people often participate than at ordinary meetings. Teams have also mentioned that with this space, they have more time to think things through before providing feedback or sharing their perspective. In addition, they have mentioned how helpful it is to have clear deadlines and see everyone's input for reference in the future.?

Let's talk about meetings.

You probably attend multiple meetings a day, whether you manage a team or work on a project. The following steps will help you collaborate and lead your meetings asynchronously - so you can reduce the number of meetings you have a day.

In here we'll show you how async collaboration can be as effective (in fact more) as real-time collaboration.

Instead of adding another meeting to your calendar, create a video and communicate updates with your team. If you want your team members to watch the video (and track participation) or if you need their input, you can add the video to a Nova session and lead it async. In order to keep people accountable, you can share your updates and ask them to mark the video as completed once they have watched it.
