Accelerate or Stagnate in 2023...?

Can an Interim Specialist can make a difference to your business in 2023?

As we continue in uncertain times, sadly no one has all the answers, if any ??!?

Recruitment boomed in the first half of 2022 as we countered the “great resignation” (or just pent-up demand!), new ways of working and multiple clients undertaking large scale change or growth programmes.

The year finished strongly, but with a marked slow-down as we enter some interesting economic headwinds. High interest rates, industrial action, weak economic forecasts and of course one of the most turbulent Octobers we are ever likely to see have meant a few our clients are taking a pause to assess what they really need. Permanent processes have been put on hold and projects have been postponed, Boards are under pressure from all angles to deliver profit & growth whilst looking at cost savings & minimising losses.?

It’s a lot and can be difficult to see the wood for the trees…In our 20+ years’ experience this could be a great opportunity to lean on an Interim practitioner to ensure that your business moves forward this year and beyond.

Why?

A fresh perspective?- An Interim can make a real difference bringing an objective viewpoint, fresh pair of eyes, helping a business have the right focus.?So, if you need support figuring out where you really are making gains, getting your business back in profit, then now might be the right time to consider an Interim to help you get ahead.

Agility -?In an increasingly difficult to predict marketplace buying in talent but with a degree of flexibility makes complete sense given we have no idea what this year will hold. If budgets are approved, then additional hires can be made and if budgets are pulled then interims are on shorter notice periods than permanent employees which allows for a greater degree of flexibility

Trying to do it all at once??The early months of the year are often the hardest. Completing plans, performance reviews, a desire to set the tone for the year and of course an ever more complex day job mean that success for the year is often defined by how we start. Utilising the experience of an independent practitioner who is free from bias (the best interims are!) is an efficient solution to getting time back and accelerating with the right focus.

At Page Executive we are fortunate enough to be representing strong interim professionals across different leadership specialisms as well as excellent Change & Transformation practitioners across the retail, consumer and wider D2C markets.

Get in touch and we can help navigate this densely wooded forest together ensuring you don't get caught in the weeds!
