At GITEX GLOBAL 2024 , Huawei showcased a multitude of innovative new solutions and products and shared its ambitious goals for the near- and long-term. In addition to sharing many success stories from the past year, Huawei chose to direct the spotlight on a more unified vision with its partners: to go intelligent together and innovate the future.

During the five-day event, themed Accelerate Industrial Digitalization and Intelligence, Huawei hosted a range of sharing sessions, inviting companies and individuals from global tech giants to innovative start-ups across AI, information and communications technology (ICT), mobility, sustainable tech,?and beyond.

Huawei used the industry-leading GITEX platform to assemble a comprehensive lineup of industry veterans, thought leaders, technical experts, and long-time corporate partners. Together, they explored the endless opportunities and challenges driving the industry. They examined their customers and partners diverse range of business challenges and explored solutions for their digital and intelligent transformation.

The Industrial Digital and Intelligent Transformation Summit, hosted by Huawei at GITEX 2024, provided a stage to launch a series of industrial digital and intelligent transformation solutions and flagship products, all produced by Huawei and its partners.

Huawei executives proudly helped to both set the tone of GITEX 2024 in the opening remarks and reverberate the spirit of the event throughout the program. That was emphasized in Huawei’s Corporate Senior Vice President and President of ICT Sales & Service Li Peng’s opening speech, where he proclaimed: “Digital and intelligent transformation should not be a privilege for the few, it should be a benefit for all.”

And appropriately, Li Peng concluded his speech saying, “Huawei is ready and willing to join forces with more customers and partners to enable industrial digital and intelligent transformation and bring more benefits to the lives and work of people around the world.


Huawei's Innovation for Industrial Transformation

From smart cities to more intelligent power girds, Huawei joined with collaborators focused not just on new products, but future ideas that may shape what’s coming next. They demonstrated a shared commitment to building a mutually beneficial partner ecosystem. Watch to learn more here .

That commitment was reinforced by Huawei’s actions in building 14 OpenLabs worldwide to support joint innovation with solution partners. Together, with 30 solution partners in the UAE alone, they have developed more than 20 products and services to meet local industry needs.

Their collaborative efforts will help to answer customer demands and solve challenges spanning ten industries, including public utilities, education and healthcare. The solutions and products are designed to support customers in enhancing their digital and intelligent transformation.

Thriving Together in the Intelligent Era

The optimistic tone of GITEX 2024 was elevated from the moment Huawei’s Li Peng, Corporate Senior Vice President, President of ICT Sales & Service, took the stage to deliver the opening speech .

Li Peng conveyed an enthusiastic and confident outlook for the industry that echoed among partners throughout the five-day event. His words perfectly underscored Huawei’s unified vision— to innovate the future and thrive together in an imminent new era of unprecedented intelligence.

“At Huawei, we combine our strengths in networking, storage, computing, cloud, and energy to build new digital and intelligent infrastructure. Together with partners, we serve top customers in sectors like government, finance, electricity, transport, manufacturing, oil and gas, mining, and the Internet. We dive deep into their business scenarios and explore the best solutions for their digital and intelligent transformation,” said Li Peng.?

He emphasized the shift from a digital economy to an intelligent economy, which is expected to be a main driver of global economic growth. His real-world examples were plentiful, noting that partnerships are central to Huawei's strategy, with a rapidly growing ecosystem of over 47,000 partners. He also highlighted Huawei’s focus on fostering local digital talent through ICT Academies and certification programs, which ensures the workforce has the necessary skills for digital transformation.


The Case for Reshaping Industries with Tech

Leo Chen, Corporate Senior Vice President, President of Enterprise Sales, Huawei, took the stage at GITEX 2024 to deliver a speech that discussed the significance of digital and intelligent transformation where he underscored the role of AI, 5G-A, and other next-gen technologies in driving the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Mr. Chen tactically opened with praise for the conference’s host city, Dubai, which provided an ideal backdrop for discussing the future of intelligence due to its many innovative projects, and a launchpad for the 4th Industrial Revolution. He said: “In terms of the place – Dubai is a city full of innovative and bold projects that showcase the boldness and creativity inherent in the human spirit.”

His presentation explained the challenges that are holding back digital and AI adoption that must be overcome to seize new opportunities, noting, “we must work together and build a more equitable future, where no one is left behind.” He presented Huawei’s strategic solutions for overcoming these challenges: building robust infrastructure, applying advanced technologies across industries, and fostering a thriving innovation ecosystem.

David Shi, Vice President of ICT Marketing and Solution Sales, Huawei, emphasized the importance of building a solid ICT infrastructure for enterprises to succeed in the intelligent era. He highlighted two key points to expedite this transformation: accelerating the popularization of ICT infrastructure and accelerating monetization. "Only by working closely with our customers and partners can we truly bring intelligence to all industries. Huawei is willing to work with all of you to build digital and intelligent infrastructure, win in the new era, and create a better future," said Shi.

With a focus on typical scenarios like campuses, WANs, and data centers, Huawei has released flagship products and portfolios and developed user-friendly HUAWEI eKit products. During the summit, Huawei worked with partners to unveil digital and intelligent transformation solutions for ten industries, including National Government Cloud Solution and ICT Talent Cultivation Solution. These solutions aim to help customers achieve greater success in the intelligent era.

Furthermore, Huawei demonstrated its commitment to fostering a thriving ecosystem for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) at the HUAWEI eKit Forum at GITEX GLOBAL 2024. The company introduced exciting new products and scenario-based solutions to support SMEs’ digital transformation.

"Distribution is an important strategy for the development of Huawei's enterprise business,” said Ernest Zhang, President of Partner Development and Commercial & Distribution Business Dept of Huawei Enterprise Sales Dept.

“By making long-term, end-to-end strategic investment that covers R&D, marketing, sales, supply, and services, Huawei aims to develop a robust, win-win distribution partner system. It also hopes to join hands with partners to help SMEs go digital and intelligent," he added.?

More than 30 HUAWEI eKit products and extensive scenario-based solutions were launched highlighting Huawei's concerted efforts to help empower SMEs across their digital journeys. HUAWEI eKit products and services will provide companies with smooth installation and maintenance experiences and aid them with joint marketing initiatives for enhanced brand influence and development.

Denver Zhang, President of Huawei's Enterprise Business Global Marketing, shared cutting-edge digital and intelligent industrial solutions in an interview with Olivier Gomez, CEO of IAC.ai . “We’re showcasing real cases that demonstrate the powerful integration of digital and intelligent technologies across various industries.” Mr. Zhang then shared details of Huawei’s “Amplifying Industrial Digitalization & Intelligence Practice ” White Paper, a comprehensive guide containing more than 100 cases which provide valuable insights and inspirations for future digital intelligence transformation journeys.

Why has Huawei entered the electric power industry? Jason Li, President of Global Marketing & Solutions at Huawei’s Electric Power Digitalization Business Unit, discussed that and much more with Linda Grasso, CEO of DeltalogiX. Mr. Li shared how Huawei is helping power utilities achieve digital transformation and build intelligent distribution networks.

“Today, with the soaring growth of renewable energy, the complexity of power scenarios has increased dramatically, making it necessary to solve problems through a combination of automation, digitalization and intelligent technologies, which is what Huawei specializes in,” Jason Li noted.


Michael Qiu & Giuliano Liguori: Huawei's All-Flash Data Centers

Giuliano Liguori, a digitalization consulting expert, had a discussion with Michael Qiu, President of Huawei Global Data Storage Marketing & Solutions Sales. They highlighted the innovations in Huawei's new-gen all-flash data centers.

Mr. Qui shared insider information about Huawei’s flagship products and groundbreaking capabilities that are reshaping storage solutions for the future: “Digital and intelligent transformation requires high quality data and efficient data processing, enabling digital and intelligent advancements to merge and support each other. AI, big data, and high-performance computing are driving innovations. But this has caused an explosive growth of data, which in turn places greater demand on data infrastructure. That’s why we developed the New-Generation All-Flash Data Center.

Leap Into Intelligence With a Better Cloud

At Huawei Cloud Summit UAE at GITEX 2024 , Huawei executives demonstrated how the company’s industry-leading AI-native cloud drives digitalization and intelligence.

Huawei’s solutions have been very well received in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region; it’s been revealed that Huawei Cloud’s public cloud revenue grew 10-fold in the past year. The event also featured product launches, joint solution launches with ecosystem partners, and announcements of plans to cultivate talent in the region.

Alan Qi, President of Huawei Cloud Middle East and Central Asia, shared insights on the company’s strategic partnerships, AI-driven innovations, and transforming industries with the power of cloud :
