Acano + Cisco = A Massive Deal that Changed the Tech World in 2015

When I first started at Acano, I would often introduce myself and people would have no idea where I worked.  Many of them couldn't pronounce the name correctly.  "AAAAcAAAANNEEE-oh?" they would say.  And I would reply, "No, we're English.  It's Aah-cano." 

As I also have an English upbringing, my mother always pronounced Acano's name correctly but she still thought I was a bit mental leaving a Fortune 75+ company to come to a start-up.  Mum could open up the paper on almost any day and read about Cisco Systems.  Finding an article on Acano was far more difficult and typically required Norwegian translation assistance.  

Well 2 1/2 years later we're headed back and that little English & Norwegian company was just named one of Inc. Magazine's most impactful tech deals of 2015!  We even made it in to the Wall Street Journal.  

Mum will be proud :)

All together, now: The London-based tech firm makes collaboration and conferencing software. In the age of Slack, collaboration and in-office communication is an in-demand area. And this company addresses scalability, allowing a business to connect tens of thousands of individuals at once.
