I made a new show!?

Excited to share that I just wrapped up a three evening “work-in-progress” showing of AC Dickson: Life Coach.?

?A huge thank you to everyone who came. If you didn’t know about it, or weren’t able to make it, here’s a review preview courtesy of the Willamette Week.?

The show is a satire of coaching, but also is coaching and designed to be constructive. It also plays with character, breaking character, and shifts the role and expectation of the audience throughout the show.?

The show borrows from some of my past work - AC Dickson: eBay PowerSeller, Life Coach, and hosting and telling stories for The Moth for the past decade. But is very much a new thing.?

Over the course of the three nights the show changed pretty drastically - thanks in huge part to friend's comments and suggestions - and because I bring an different audience member on stage every show to be publicly coached.

Really excited to continue to develop and refine it - and to order and offer custom swag. So rest assured I will be performing it again (and again and again) both near and far.?

So here in Portland it could work at Kickstand Comedy, or even the Aladdin (if everyone I knew came!) - or the Risk Reward or the TBA festival. Or it could be a really interesting and through provoking 2 hour experience is Instrument, OMFGCO or Wieden+Kennedy were having a company team-building weekend.?
