Abundant Wealth Creation - American Tech Billionaire- Larry Ellison-Oracle.

Born to an unwed mother, and raised by adopted parents in a poor neighborhood of the south side of Chicago, Larry Ellison grew up with an awesome talent for Mathematics and Science. Family conditions forced him to drop out of the schools at the University of Illinois and then the University of Chicago.

• Undeterred, Larry went off to California in search of greener pastures. His grit, determination, analytical mind, and knowledge of computer programming won him many jobs in the next seven years. Finally, he landed in Ampex Corporation as a programmer.
• There he participated in building the first IBM-compatible mainframe system. During that period, he came across a research paper by a British-born Computer Scientist, Edgar F Codd that outlived a relational database model. Larry and his team went on developing Codd’s theory.
• In 1977, with two of his trusted colleagues, Larry founded Software Development Laboratories. Right from the first day, Larry was the CEO.?
• His company won a two-year contract to build a relational database management system for the CIA. The name of this project was ORACLE.
• Focused on his success, as he always is, he directed the team to finish the project one year ahead of schedule and used the extra time, to develop the system for commercial applications. The team succeeded gloriously.
• IBM adopted Oracle for its mainframe systems. Larry and his team changed their company name from SDL to Oracle Corporation. This company grew to a $ 1 Billion company in one year.
• America’s banks, airlines, automobile companies & retail giants all came to depend on Oracle’s database programs. In 1987, Oracle became the largest database management company in the world.
• Bestowed with his natural talents of aggressive marketing and innovation, Larry went on to identify and conquer new markets. He acquired competing smaller companies such as PeopleSoft (2005), Siebel (2006), BEA (2008), Sun Micro Systems (2010), and NetSuite (2016).
• Oracle employs over 150,000 employees all over the world. They cater to the requirements of many top-class customers around the Globe and make software for managing data, identity, retail inventory, and logistics.
• Larry Ellison positioned his company, Oracle for dominance by developing a broad range of integrated software packages, which have surpassed all his competitors way behind. Today, he is the Executive Chairman and the CTO of the company.
• The boy, who was ill-treated by his adopted father in his early years, is one of the richest persons in the world with a staggering wealth of $ 141.9 Billion. In 2018, Larry became a director of Tesla Motor Corp.
• Larry owns 98% of a Hawaiian island called Lanai, in addition to multiple grand expensive homes in California, a fleet of jets, 2 military jets, and a couple of luxury yachts.
• Like many other kind-hearted billionaires, Larry has taken Warren Buffets’ “Giving Pledge” that 95 % of his wealth will be given to Charities upon his death. He has donated large sums of money to the University of Southern California for their research programs, and to Friends of Israel set up.
