ABT boosts Audi S4 TDI to 384 hp and 760 Nm
The recently remodelled Audi S4 3-litre diesel has now arrived in Europe. It is much more economical than its petrol predecessor and in performance terms, the buyer sacrifices nothing. With its standard 347 hp (255 kW), the difference between the diesel and the Otto engine is almost academic and its maximum torque of 700 Nm is considerably greater. For even greater driving pleasure, you can now install the ABT Power performance upgrade from ABT Sportsline, which utilises the high-tech control unit ABT Engine Control (AEC). CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt: "With 384 hp or 282 kW and a maximum torque of 760 Nm, the customer receives a significant increase in comparison to the standard model. This is also reflected in the acceleration figures. For the Avant, this means 0-100 km/h is reached in 4.7 rather than 4.9 seconds. Before the third generation A4, only the petrol RS could achieve that."
The S4 TDI’s three-litre V6 diesel engine is incredibly powerful and its vigour is unstoppable, even in sharp bends. The optional ABT Coilover Suspension Springs facilitate variable all-round lowering from 15 mm to 40 mm. The high-tensile spring steel ABT Sports Anti-Roll Bar provides perfect handling on request. Its most important advantages are more precise wheel guidance and reduced roll tendency. Nevertheless, double-sided suspension ensures unimpaired comfort.
Lowering the S4 TDI also flatters its appearance by making it look more streamlined, sleeker and more sporty.
