Absurd Intelligence

Absurd Intelligence

The absurd is when situations are complex enough that predictions could neither be made with sufficient precision nor anticipations be made sufficiently ahead to be useful.

While, intelligence is a hypothetical idea which we have defined as being reflected by certain types of behavior. In other words “Intelligence is what you do when you don't know what to do.

It is generally accepted that intelligence is inherited but can also be related to the environment. So could our genes determine the quality of our intelligence, our ability to integrate and process information? It is also believed that race and culture have their share in intelligence as well, but so far there is no confirmed conclusion that intelligence varies from race to race!

A number of psychologists have argued that intelligence can be quantified, primarily through testing. While there are different types of intelligence tests, they all measure the same intelligence. Some use words or numbers and require specific cultural knowledge (like vocabulary). Others do not, and instead use shapes or designs and require knowledge of only simple, universal concepts. Most people cluster around the average (IQ 100) and about 3% score above (IQ 130). The main criticism of intelligence testing is that it is difficult to insure that test items are equally meaningful or difficult for members of different sociocultural groups.

Wisdom on the other hand is the ability to use experience and knowledge in order to make sensible decisions or judgments. History has often ranked civilizations by their wisdom rather than their intelligence. We talk about "the wisdom of the ancient Greeks," for example, meaning everything about their culture from their scientific and philosophical discoveries, to the art and culture they created.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. These processes include learning (the acquisition of information and rules for using the information), reasoning (using rules to reach approximate or definite conclusions) and self-correction.

AI’s advantage is a low error rate compared to humans, if coded properly. They would have incredible precision, accuracy, and speed. They won't be affected by hostile environments, thus able to complete dangerous tasks, explore in space, and endure problems that would be next to impossible to be carried otherwise.

The disadvantage of AI thus far is its malfunction in the wake of a glitch in its program or failure of defective component, and its ability to independently improvise or substitute.

Human beings in contrast are highly sensitive and emotional intellectuals. They see, hear, think and feel. Their thoughts are guided by feelings, at times irrational, which, completely lacks in machines. It is said that the inherent intuitive abilities of the human brain cannot be replicated. Or could they?

The disadvantage thus far of humans is the flux in random rationale driven by misinformation or emotional content, thus rendering them unpredictable and unstable in aptitude, reasoning and state of mind.

The universe and the human mind do not each separately cause the absurd, but rather, the absurd arises by the contradictory nature of the two existing simultaneously.

According to absurdism, humans historically attempt to find meaning in their lives. Traditionally, this search results in one of two conclusions: either that life is meaningless, or life contains within it a purpose set forth by a higher power, a belief in God, or adherence to some religion or other abstract concept.

Reconciling beliefs, facts, or demands that seem to be opposed or completely different, is to find a way in which they can both be true or both be agreeable; it is no evident task!

  • One wonders in the wake of such, when Keiser University states:

"The main difference between intelligence and wisdom is that intelligence means implementing the gained knowledge wisely and perfectly, which, can be learned by gaining more experience; while, wisdom is something that can never come with age, as even a child can be wiser than an adult or mature person..."
