ABSOLUTE ZERO
Electric charging is on its way (except) in a NHS car par near you anytime soon.

ABSOLUTE ZERO

#NHS #Sustainability

Two years ago this month (November 2018) the NHS set up an Electric Vehicle Charging Framework onto which it invited companies from around the world to provide:

"... the delivery, supply, installation, management and maintenance of electric vehicle charging infrastructure goods and services. This includes both rapid and slow charging units, which can be used both on fleet vehicles and/or staff or visitors cars." https://www.sbs.nhs.uk/fas-electric-vehicle-charging-points

All background tests done. Pre-qualified to fit charging points in car parks across the NHS. Just plug and play.

Fantastic. #Innovative #Sustainable

Roll forward 24 months (November 2020) the planet is under increasing stress, the NHS pledges to be Carbon Neutral by 2040 (yawn) the government are to ban the sale of petrol cars by 2030 (horray) ... by at the end of September 2020 - 537,600 fully electric & plug-in models including plug-in hybrids are on the UK's streets. Presumably driven by people who use the odd hospital. Have a guess how many contracts have been let through this EV framework to the NHS?

Yep, you guessed it ... ABSOLUTELY ZERO. Action not words ladies and gentlemen?

And now I'm told the in many cases EV charging would cost Foundations Trusts ABSOLUTE ZERO too (innovation grants).
