Absolute Intelligence: The real challenge

For decades, man has been attempting to create devices that mimic the processing power of the brain. The recent advent of AI has certainly been an impressive step in that direction. One fundamental hurdle in achieving the goal of AGI is our insufficient understanding of the human brain.

Ten percent

Over fifty years ago, we were told in elementary school that humans only use 10 percent of the brain’s potential over our normal lifetime. Today, discoveries in neuroscience and molecular biology have revealed that we use much less of the brain’s capability. Scientists can’t even calculate a percentage.

Here is what ChatGPT-4 had to say on the matter:

“The myth may have originated from misinterpretations or exaggerations of neurological research in the early 20th century, suggesting that humans have much untapped mental potential. While it’s true that individual capacity for learning and memory can vary, and certain conditions or injuries can activate unusual brain activity, the notion that we only use 10% of our brain is not supported by any scientific evidence.”

Unlimited storage

One major hurdle in developing advanced AI is the ability to house and process large volumes of data. By contrast, the brain has unlimited data storage and processing capabilities that far exceed the average lifespan. According to the evolutionary theory of “natural selection” and environmental adaptation, the human brain is oversized when compared to other primates, especially when you consider man’s short lifespan.

Everlasting life

According to the Bible book of Genesis, our creator never intended our foreparents to die. Disobedience was the only cause of death. This would plainly explain the brain’s ability to retain and comprehend vast amounts of data. Consider how far technology might have advanced in the last 6,000 years if Adam and Eve had lived.

Absolute Intelligence

It doesn’t take much investigation or logical reasoning to conclude that the brain’s intricate design and capabilities are the result of superintelligence. For example, only in recent years have the principles of substantial design and recycling gained prominence. A closer look at our environment reveals that our ecosystem was designed with sustainability and recycling in mind.

Practical Intelligence

While I applaud the recent advances in the development of AI, wouldn’t it make more sense to explore some of the practical intelligence found in the Bible? For example, centuries ago, it was widely believed that the world was flat and sustained by a giant turtle. The Bible books of Isaiah 40:22 and Job 26:7, written over a thousand years ago, state that the earth is a circle or sphere suspended on nothing.

Evolutionary theory, in my opinion, has stifled numerous scientific and medical advances. Our understanding of the brain is just one example, not to mention the current gender confusion and moral deterioration. If humanity wishes to make significant advances in artificial general intelligence, why not begin by studying the absolute intellect found in God’s word, the Bible?
