As an industry-leading event that brings together leaders and professionals in the financial services sector, the ABSIP Awards remain the flagship industry event. Polo Leteka-Radebe, President of ABSIP – highlighted that the ABSIP Awards remain a central reflection and networking opportunity for ABSIP and its members to celebrate key milestones and achievements in the sector. “As we near the end of 20 years of the existence of transformation rules and the Financial Sector Charter which ABSIP was instrumental in developing, it is our collective duty to reflect on what has worked in the national mission to transform the financial services sector. It was this reflective moment that persuaded the NEC to adopt the theme of ‘Accelerating Transformation’ for the 2022 ABSIP Awards”.
“In addition to the industry awards across different categories, the ABSIP NEC unanimously voted to acknowledge Ms Rojie Kisten’s longstanding contributions to the ABSIP cause and awarded her the 2022 Greg Boyd Memorial Award for Outstanding Contributions to ABSIP. This award – named after the late ABSIP stalwart Greg Boyd – acknowledges ABSIP members whose contribution to the financial services sector and the country’s transformation agenda, transcends their call of duty and has made a tangible contribution to the country at large. Through her decades-long involvement in ABSIP, Rojie Kisten has lived up to this mission. On behalf of the NEC and all ABSIP members, I would once again like to congratulate Rojie for this achievement.”
