ABRAHAM MASLOW’S HIERACHY OF NEEDS-MOTIVATION THEORY
WHAT NEEDS ARE SO PRESSING TO YOU?
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is a motivation theory that suggests five interdependent levels of basic human needs (motivators) that must be satisfied in a strict sequence starting with the lowest level.
Physiological needs for survival (to stay alive and reproduce) and security (to feel safe) are the most fundamental and most pressing needs.
They are followed by social needs (for love and belonging) and self-esteem needs (to feel worthy, respected, and have status).
The final and highest level needs are self-actualization needs (self-fulfillment and achievement). Its underlying theme is that human beings are always wanting to satisfy one need or another and as they satisfy one need the next emerges on its own and demands satisfaction. We all tend to do this until we live the earth. This is why we set different goals in life.If you do not have a vision, a mission ,set goals and SMART objectives and strategies to achieve them we all will not be able to make it in life.SMART objectives are critical.SMART means specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time bound.
Even an organization as entity must have a vision, mission, goals.objectives corporate philosophy(core values). The mission is broken down into specific objectives to enable the organization achieve it.
