The Abortionist/ A short story with a great message!
By Pastor Janet Fears D.D
In an unknown city, in a small town, somewhere in the world there lived a doctor,? he was well-known and loved by everyone in his town. He had a beautiful home, wife, and three beautiful children, and was respected by all who knew him. He had his own Medical Clinic, An abortion clinic, and all-day he performed abortions,? sometimes 100 abortions a day. Not only that, but he was very proud of what he did.? He felt he was helping unfortunate women out of bad situations often due to rape, or just not being wise in their relationships, and ended up with an unwanted pregnancy that could ruin their life or career. Some were in their teens, naive about life & love, while others were middle-aged established in their life, children were grown and out on their own and did not want another child in their later years.? Yes, he had heard their stories and often felt tears of sympathy, fill his eyes for what they were going through.
The doctor loved his life, He had accomplished so much and given the world back so much for what they had given him, by becoming a medical doctor and offering hope to these troubled women.? He loved coming home to his children and hearing them talk about their hopes and dreams for the future, yes he was so blessed, he loved his life. One day he came home, as usual, had his dinner, talk with his children laughed played with them, help his wife in the kitchen by doing the dishes, and then decided that he would just lay down for a while and take a quick nap. He felt refreshed as he opened his eyes from his nap, Where was he?? He wasn't in his home, he wasn't on his favorite couch, but in a courtroom, and there were others there too, dressed in suits like businessmen carrying briefcases waiting in line in front of a judge.
There was a guard standing by the door, so he got up and walked up to him.
“What is this place, and why am I here?”
The guard looked over at him. “ Please take your seat sir, he said pointing over to the seats, your case has not come up yet. He looked at the doctor with a sorrowful look on his face. ? This is the Abortion Supreme Court.? He pointed to the seat and the doctor went back and sat down. He couldn’t figure why he would be in an abortion court and going before a judge.? Maybe he was about to be honored for all the women he had helped, yes he concluded, that was probably what it was.? In the row ahead of him said a man with his head down looking very sorrowful, shaking his head back and forth as in distress.? He moved closer and reached over, tapping him gently on the shoulder, thinking maybe he could explain to him what was going on.
“ What’s going on here, he asked in a whisper, not wanting to draw any attention to himself with the guard so close to them both.?”
“My birth was a mistake on the supreme court’s records and so now, all the mistakes are being corrected. He started to cry.? My wife, my children, my job, my law practice all the good that I have done in the world to help people doesn't matter I wasn't supposed to be born and so now they're correcting it with the adult abortion Act. I will be aborted, I will no longer exist.”
“That’s crazy, the doctor shouted loudly, drawing the attention of the guard and the judge.? The judge motioned to the guard, who shook his finger sternly at them both to be quiet.? You have a right to live, to exist, the doctor whispered in the man’s ear,? no one should take your right to live away from you, no one. Every, man, woman, child, and baby, has a right to live, no one knows what they will become and give back to the world.? To end your life would be a tragedy”
“The man looked back at the doctor and smiled.?
“I’m a lawyer, I have spoken for many people, but now I can’t even speak for myself.? I can’t defend myself,? who would listen and understand my wanting to live, exist?”
Suddenly the doctor knew it was he who needed to speak to the judge in defense of the man.
“You're next,” the guard said, looking at the young man. The man got up slowly and started to walk forward to face the judge when the doctor’s hand caught his.? We will go together, and I will speak for you, he said smiling, yes, I will speak for you.”
When the doctor awoke he realized it was just a dream, but there was something about that dream, he realized that he could no longer perform abortions he would let go of his clinic and go back and work in the hospital, he would even volunteer at a pro-life to help those wanting an abortion to realize that every unborn child had the right to live.? He prayed and asked forgiveness for all the little babies that he had aborted that would never have their chance in life, or what their contribution to the world might have been. He knew from that point on he would speak for those babies, Yes, he would speak for them!??

Look at me, what do you see, there are no limits to what I can be
maybe a doctor a lawyer, a scientist too
a teacher, or maybe I might be just like you
with hopes, dreams, and a future too
allow me to live and see them come true!
