"Aboard the Blue Climb" is a Linear Minimal Color Field work with elements of Surrealism. Building this piece with Barnett Newman in mind (from the 1950's NYC Color Field Movement), this painting depicts a beautiful blue Color Field (center) and One Linear Frame Element on your left. The tight lattice work (center) in the body the painting not only adds energy and dimension, but in a Surreal sense intimates the essence of this painting. "Aboard the Blue Climb" is referring to "Attaching Our Moral Carcass to the Light," or the climb to heaven if you will.
