ABO phenotype
We have a simple project, to figure out blood type from RAW DNA data. It turned out to be not so straight forward. What we discovered is that most of the silicon wafer chips in use today aren't powered enough to capture the ABO gene phenotype. Any recommendations for a silicon chip that is able to do that?
Direct to consumer genetic companies genotype DNA to look for variations. As scientists make new discoveries in genomics, new chips are required to capture more info about specific variants.
I was able to find in the scientific literature:

DNA results are at the intersection of recreational genetic genealogy and personal health information, democratizing DNA data. The bigger challenge here might not be technology or alliances, but rather a laser focused approach on biochemical processes towards what we can do with silicon.
