Company Milestones:
The electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety testing has been completed in a certified laboratory, verifying that our exoskeleton complies with the applicable standards for medical devices. Our team has also finished compiling the documentation (Technical File) of the exoskeleton as a medical device and will submit it to our Notified Body (BSI) in the coming weeks for regulatory approval (CE-mark, MDR (EU) 2017/745).
This documentation includes information on design and development process, instructions for use and labelling, risk analysis, production process, product verification and validation, and clinical evaluation report, among others.
Mobile World Congress 2023 ( MWC 2023 ) GSMA , took place in Barcelona from February 27th to March 2nd. ABLE was part of “The Next Hospital” space, where the latest advancements in the medical field were showcased. During four days of exhibition we demonstrated the capabilities of our new exoskeleton: Ricard, who has been in a wheelchair for more than 20 years, walked over 7km with the device. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rüdiger Rupp (Head of Experimental Neurorehabilitation at University Hospital Heidelberg University Hospital ) will present the results of the multicenter clinical trial performed with the #ABLEexoskeleton during the ASIA 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting. This conference organized by ASIA ( AMERICAN SPINAL INJURY ASSOCIATION ) will include two-and-a-half days of Courses, General Sessions talks, and nearly 100 Posters. More info.
On April 20th, the ABLE team will attend the Spinal Injuries Conference 2023 in Sheffield, United Kingdom, organized by STEPS Rehabilitation. There, we will demonstrate the new ABLE Exoskeleton to clinicians working in the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with spinal injuries. As part of the conference, use case studies and inspiring stories of the patient journey will be presented.?More info
