CLINICAL PHASE COMPLETED. Next step: CE-mark! ??
The clinical trial with the final version of the ABLE Exoskeleton in Asepeyo Hospital Barcelona has been completed, obtaining very positive results.?Now, our team has everything needed to prepare the documentation (Technical File) of the exoskeleton as a medical device, to be submitted to the Notified Body in March 2023 for regulatory approval (CE-mark, MDR (EU) 2017/745).
The objective of the clinical trial was to investigate the impact of the design changes made on the ABLE Exoskeleton on safety, feasibility and usability in people with spinal cord injury during a 5-6 weeks gait training programme in a clinical setting.?Effects on walking, general health status, user satisfaction, and quality of life were also assessed.?
