Ability NOT Disability

Short and Sweet Read this week!

I wrapped up an opportunity to attend a Business Resource Group Summit within UPS this week. I was fortunate to be asked by my Focus on Abilities BRG peers to join them on the stage to share a message about 'ability NOT disability'.

Sharing my message is always special as someone who does speaking engagements as time permits.

'Ability NOT Disability' from my perspective allowed me to take the audience on a journey, many of whom I've known my entire career. They learned something new that day.

'Ability NOT Disability' to me is wrapped around what I saw from my parents. Below is a tiny part of what I saw.

I saw a father who officiated high school sports for thirty years.

I saw a mother who raised her children with love and compassion.

I saw a father who was a dominant softball player.

I saw a mother who always found a way to communicate with someone.

My friends, please join me in viewing people for their abilities NOT disabilities!
