Aberlink at IMTEX 2025: A Spectacular Showcase in Bengaluru

IMTEX 2025 proved once again why it’s one of the most prestigious exhibitions in the world of manufacturing technology. Held in Bengaluru, the event attracted a global audience and served as an excellent platform for industry leaders to showcase their innovations. For Aberlink Ltd., the show was an incredible success, with our two esteemed distributors, Trimaster Metrology and Baker Gauges, making a significant impact.

A Stellar Display of Aberlink Technology

Trimaster Metrology created a buzz with the Axiom too CNC CMM featuring the popular RTP20 touch probe head. This innovative solution drew the attention of countless attendees, generating an impressive number of leads.

The highlight?

A live sale of the Axiom too directly from the stand, a true testament to its capabilities and demand.

Meanwhile, Baker Gauges delivered a show-stopping presentation with the award-winning Extol CNC CMM.

Their robotic loading automation demonstration turned heads and captivated visitors, clearly illustrating the future of automated metrology.

In addition, the revolutionary Fulcrum manual CMM was met with significant interest, as attendees recognised its game-changing capabilities for rapid 3D manual inspection workflows.

Southern Manufacturing 2025

We have a tremendous amount of new CMM hardware and software functionality to show visitors at Southern Manufacturing next week!

Our stand (K205) is situated in the middle of the advanced manufacturing zone, and on display will be the brand-new Axiom CNC CMM, the Kings Award-winning Extol CNC CMM and the highly acclaimed Fulcrum manual CMM. Also, the latest release of our Aberlink 3D inspection software (v4.23) will be shown to customers.

The brand-new Axiom is the latest evolution of our well-respected CMM. Employing a stiffer bridge design and incorporating a wider air-bearing separation means the latest Axiom has further improved on what was already a great package. Being faster, more accurate, and just as reliable, this improved Axiom is set to continue being the CMM of choice in its target market. With three different measuring volumes available utilizing Y-axis travels up to 1200 millimeters, there is an Axiom to suit every small to mid-size application. Also on display will be the brand-new CNC collimated light Camera system. This further improves the CCD Camera option available on the Axiom CMM.

Launched in January 2021, and true to our heritage for innovation, the Extol is the world’s first CMM to utilize a delta mechanism. In 2024 it was honoured with the Kings Award for Enterprise (innovation). Designed for robustness and reliability, the Extol CMM will run around the clock making it ideal whether it is positioned next to a machine tool, in a manufacturing cell, or used in a dedicated inspection area. Throughout the Southern Manufacturing exhibition, the Extol CNC CMM will be robot-loaded by a UR robot provided by WMH Robotics. We have partnered with WMH Robotics when customers require a fully automated shop-floor CMM solution.

The Fulcrum CMM has been further improved since its launch in January 2023. Our software interface has been simplified and new (unique) measurement functionality has been developed. Visitors to the show are actively encouraged to visit our stand with their parts for a Fulcrum demonstration.

The latest released version of our CMM inspection software (v.4.23) is available for existing customers to download and upgrade their CMM completely free-of-cost. Customers are encouraged to visit our stand at Southern Manufacturing to get a complete overview of the new functionality.

Employee Spotlight: Russell Homer

What is your role?

CNC Machinist, mostly responsible for the high precision finishing of our CMM X-beams.

How long have you worked at Aberlink?

This year marks my 10 year within Aberlink!

How did you get into the role?

After 6 years of working in a professional kitchen, starting from a pot wash role all the way upto Head Chef, i still felt the need for a challenge. I noticed the recruitment sign outside Aberlink and took a chance. After a very steep learning curve i found the challenge that i was looking for and haven’t looked back since.

Favourite part about the job?

My favourite part of the job is being able to actually see the effect my work has on producing our CMMs and being more than just a number in an organisation.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

My hobbies and interests are Films, Music, food and Formula 1. I’m also a self proclaimed adrenaline junkie and love going to theme parks across the UK.
