NEW PRODUCT: Auto-joint Camera
We’re very excited to announce that our CCD Camera system will be available as a fully automatic changing solution, from touch probe to Camera, in the New Year.
We have completely redesigned the Camera body so that it can be used with the PH10M and stored in the Renishaw MRS change rack via the Renishaw ACR3. The perfect accompaniment to our new CNC backlight.

More options for your CMM!
PolyWorks Inspector will be available on Aberlink CMMs where customers need to work with CATIA CAD data.
We are working with PolyWorks and DEVA Controls to improve the I++ interface and we’ll give you an update in the New Year.

Employee Spotlight: Duncan Barron
What is your role?
I’m the Production Manager and oversee all of our CMM builds.
How long have you worked at Aberlink?
I’ve worked at Aberlink for 26 years now!
How did you get into the role?
I began my position at Aberlink handling general assembly tasks such as sanding, filling, and gluing components. Over time, I progressed to building machines and now oversee the enitre build process. My experience at each stage of manufacturing has given me insight into our pain points, allowing me to contribute to delivering a better product to our customers.
Favourite part about the job?
My favorite aspects of the job are the variety of tasks I get to engage in; every day presents something new and different. I also enjoy overseeing the process of bringing new products into production, starting from a set of drawings and part numbers to managing stock control and coordinating with new suppliers. Above all, I am grateful to be part of a fantastic team that gives their all every day.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
As one of many here who share the same hobby, I’m an avid golfer and have a membership at Minchinhampton Golf Club currently playing with a handicap of 15. Outside of golf, I enjoy eating out and spending time with my family, and of course, I love having a cheeky pint or two at my local pub!
