When did you join WFP Somalia and what was your perception before joining the organization?

I joined WFP Somalia in July 2022. Before joining WFP, I wanted to work with a collaborative team with common objectives in driving WFP's mission, and that drive came true.

What was your most outstanding onboarding experience?

My outstanding onboarding experience was the warm and professional welcome that I received from everyone across the organization, which has enabled me to easily integrate with the team.

What is the best advice you received when you joined WFP Somalia?

The best advice I received when I joined the organization was to practice punctuality, support colleagues, seek help and ask questions.

What attributes of your job excite you the most?

I work in a challenging environment, and when I sail through the day and manage to handle the day-to-day pressure that comes with my role, I feel fulfilled and accomplished. This motivates to work harder and aim higher.

How does working with WFP Somalia differ from other places where you worked before?

WFP Somalia team collaboration is very inspiring and promotes productivity.

What advice would you give to anyone considering a job in WFP Somalia?
