Leading a company through growth requires balancing multiple priorities; keeping an eye on the end goal; fostering team building and alignment; and building leadership skills throughout the company. The following is an alphabetized “To Do” list that I provide clients driven to grow great companies.
- Address conflict quickly, no matter how small.
- Balance profit with customer experience.

- Distinguish the capabilities of your company that set you apart; bring value to the market, and invest in them.
- Energize the executive team, employees, partners and others around company vision and their role in attaining that vision.
- Foster frequent two-way communication. Recognize people, actions and stories that demonstrate the values and leadership you want to foster.
- Get in front of market trends. Gathering real time information on shifts in customer’s needs.
- Hire the right people.
- Innovate by promoting a culture of experimentation, collaboration, risk taking, continuous learning.
- Joy in celebrating with your team both the small and large achievements made along the way.
- Keep actionable plans moving forward by identifying execution delays quickly.
- Leadership and Learning. Ensure your executive team is managing their role as a leader in addition to their functional role and that they are mentoring others to become great leaders.
- Mix it up: Utilize cross-functional teams to address strategic priorities and hold them accountable for outcomes.
- New Technology. Digitize and adapt.
