There has been a lot of talking about "resilience", i.e., resilient cities, resilient leaderships, resilient businesses, resilient governments, resilient schools, resilient universities, resilient teams, even resilient people, with little public knowledge what it is and how to build resilience.

In this article, I want to briefly talk about the most important ones to individuals and business.

What is resilience?

Resilience is the ability to adapt and recover from difficult or challenging situations, including stress, adversity, trauma, or tragedy. It involves the capacity to bounce back and move forward, even in the face of setbacks or failures. Resilience is not about avoiding adversity or always staying positive, but rather about developing the mental and emotional strength to deal with life's challenges in a healthy way. It requires a combination of personal traits, such as a positive mindset, optimism, perseverance, adaptability, self-awareness, problem-solving skills, and social support. Resilience can be learned and developed over time with practice and effort.

How to build personal resilience?

Personal resilience is the ability to adapt and bounce back from stress, adversity, or traumatic events. Here are some steps to help you build resilience:

  1. Develop a positive mindset - start by focusing on the positives in every situation and identify opportunities for growth and learning.
