ABC = Always Be Connecting.

This concept was mentioned by a former guest of mine, AJ Vassar. A different ABC to focus on is "Always Be Connecting" as opposed to the traditional "Always Be Closing." People have a sort of sales guard up when you approach them at first. What if instead of pushing the sell on them, you simply connect and build the relationship first?

This requires us to get rid of the mindset that if we aren't making money now, then what we are doing isn't worth it. Think of connections as a form of future investments that benefit both parties. I like the way AJ put it, "Think of prospecting like a bank account. You can't make a withdrawal if you've never made a deposit."

I find that after I've gotten to know people and helped them with their goals, they almost always then switch the narrative to me. They now want to know what I do and if they can now be of assistance to me. In the words of the late Zig Ziglar, "You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people what they want.

Think of connections as a form of future investments that benefit both parties.

I share this with you because I want you to close more deals, know how to find prospects, and raise your level of thinking so you can do big things!
