Shalom and blessings to the sheep of the flock, the ones that hear the good shepherd's voice. I will spare you the details of the tumultuous weeks past and simply say I thank God for grace.
Aaron and the golden calf!! Exodus 32 and 33 show us Moses the man the Lord was pleased with leading the children of Israel to the promised land. He is summoned to Mount Sinai to receive the Lord's commandments and in his absence, Aaron is led into sin by pride and the coaxing of the children of Israel. They smelted jewelry and tooled an idol of gold and build an altar. The gifts God prompted the Egyptians to give the Israelites as foundational provisions, were turned into an idol.“ I have seen these people," the Lord said to Moses, "and they are stiff-necked people. Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you Moses into a great nation.”Moses prayed and pleaded with the Lord for mercy not to destroy the Israelites and God had mercy.
No one country in Africa is an island. If that were so then Rwanda could be great all by itself and so would Kenya, Uganda, and Nigeria be winners and owners of their independent destinies. This is not the case however, we are One Nation on common land. The promised land had no internal borders during the allotment by tribes in the times of our ancestors. A [Nation] can only be called such by the recognition of the ONENESS of mindset thereof, history teaches us that unity might not always prevail as evidenced by the family structure. We might not always agree on everything but thrive on compromises made for the sake of peace, growth, and harmony. Pursuing selfish interests always leads to a pitfall and disgrace. This article is a wake-up call to the current leadership in Africa to stop competing against one another and instead come together so that every integral piece of the puzzle may come together perfectly for the Economic Emancipation blueprint of Africa.
Aaron was led astray by power in the absence of Moses and made a very stupid decision that cost the nation greatly in terms of losing direct contact with our God. Exodus 33:3 reads, “Go up to the land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people and I might destroy you on the way. We all know how that did not work out for all of us. Aaron should have prayed to God for guidance and waited for Moses to return. Leadership should always consult with God for every decision lest they make decisions based on pride and trust in their understanding. I glorify and praise our Almighty God for unfailing love, wisdom, and mercy. African leadership should seek wisdom from the creator and desist from the old ways that got our ancestors into trouble, trouble that came down on generations and angered our God the creator.

We all are aware that the period of our bondage has come to an end and indeed Yeshua Our Christ, King of all kings is doing a new thing. However, some shall only see the promise from afar, like Moses, because mistakes rob God of His glory. Trust and obedience is everything in this season. The promised Land will without a doubt be economically emancipated for the everlasting Kingdom, all the power and all the glory are God’s. Let us bring the lesson into perspective by looking at the current moves on the divine chess board:
Conclusion
The future pioneers of economic emancipation and leaders of Africa should take notes from all these current dynamics taking center stage at the precipice of the "New Thing". Do not implement failed blueprints, seek divine wisdom from the Lord and HE will give it to you abundantly. If the Lord delights in a man's way, He makes his steps firm; though he stumbles, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand Psalm 37:23-24. Let us always remind each other not to be too quick to clap for ourselves, because our children will be the ones to mark our scripts. Moses and Aaron made errors of not giving God His glory and trusting in their understanding. We thank God for mercy for it is written, "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion Exodus 33:19."
Always remember that after the golden calf sin, the children of Israel lost the intimate audience with God, He sent His angel before our ancestors into the promised land but refused to go with them lest He would destroy them completely due to their disobedience. They had to remove their ornaments at Mt Horeb because of idol worship, because of disobedience they lost the good things God had lovingly adorned them with. Obedience is better than sacrifice, when a leader is not sure, he should always seek guidance from Holy Spirit. Until next time God willing, shalom.
