Advanced Air Mobility International
The global hub for #engineering and technical developments in Advanced Air Mobility and Urban Air Mobility.
Here’s a roundup of this week’s top news and developments in the advanced air mobility industry…
Eve Air Mobility has added 泰雷兹 , 霍尼韦尔 , RECARO Aircraft Seating and FACC AG as suppliers for its eVTOL aircraft.
Thales will supply a proven air data solution, comprising sensors and a computer while Honeywell will supply guidance, navigation and external lighting for the aircraft. RECARO Aircraft Seating will supply the eVTOL’s seats and FACC will supply the horizontal and vertical tail including the rudder and elevator.
“We continue to be on schedule with our master plan and we are building a strong and reputable list of qualified suppliers for our eVTOL aircraft,” said Johann C. Bordais , CEO of Eve Air Mobility. “We have been very deliberate in establishing a long-term working relationship with each of our suppliers. Each agreement covers the aircraft’s life cycle including prototype, production, and aftermarket service and operational support. We look forward to working with Thales, Honeywell, RECARO and FACC as we progress toward entry into service in 2026 and well into the future.”
The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has launched a consultation on design proposals for vertiports at existing aerodromes.
The new consultation from the UK’s aviation regulator looks to ensure that the future operations at the aerodromes looking to support the activities of these novel aircraft are safe, efficient, equitable and secure.
Sophie-Louise O'Sullivan , Head of Future Safety and Innovation, said; “We are a committed partner to the Government’s Future of Flight Programme and enabling the introduction of innovative infrastructure is one of our key strategic objectives. This consultation is a big step towards enabling this new and innovative way of traveling to become part of our everyday life. UK aerodromes are vital in unlocking the future of aviation operations. By leveraging existing regulation, we’re enabling future operators and aerodromes to develop their understanding and operational expertise, at the same time as growing our collective knowledge of the technology and operational scenarios to support this infrastructure.”

The new eVTOL incorporates several novel features, including a sleek design that enables operational efficiency, the ability to accommodate a wide range of payload center of gravity, autonomous center of gravity determination, and a larger cargo bay.
“We are very excited to show everyone the tremendous work and ingenuity performed by the MightyFly team throughout the last year and to unveil the 2024 Cento that couples innovation with efficiency in design, maintenance, and operation, bringing to the world the key to transform the expedited logistics market,” said Manal Habib , Founder and CEO of MightyFly.
Skyfly Technologies Ltd and Archipelago Expedition Yachts have revealed that together with order of the 80 foot aluminum explorer yacht, the customer ordered an Axe eVTOL for the yacht’s helicopter landing pad on the top deck of the three decked vessel.
Compared to the RIBs and tenders traditionally used for ship-to-shore transfers, the Axe eVTOL is said to be considerably more comfortable, more private and faster, with its cruise speed of 100 miles per hour. It is also more versatile, being able to fly directly to inland destinations such as hotels, restaurants and airports.
ITA Airways , Airbus , UrbanV and Enel Group are partnering to promote and develop the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) ecosystem in Italy.?
The collaboration aims to promote this new disruptive technology and the development of a sustainable transportation solution.
Carlo Tursi , Chief Executive Officer of UrbanV, added; “At UrbanV, we aim to improve people’s lives by enabling a fast, efficient, safe and clean alternative to existing transport solutions for people and goods over short distances, by air. We have the ambition to become a major global operator of vertiport networks and we will be global pioneers in establishing some of the first AAM routes worldwide. We are excited to partner with Airbus, Enel, and ITA Airways, three leaders in their respective fields, and we look forward to exploring together with them the great potential of Urban Air Mobility in the Italian market.”
