Construction has launched on a vertiport site in Dubai, where Joby Aviation has started building the first hub of their airborne transportation system across the emirate.
The DXB vertiport is one of four initial locations that will form Joby’s network of vertiports for the air taxi service the Company plans to launch in the Emirate as soon as late 2025, with three additional vertiports planned for development in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Downtown, and Dubai Marina.

EHang (NASDAQ: EH) EH216-S pilotless electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft has completed debut passenger flights in Thailand at the renowned Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in central Bangkok.?
The flights mark a new milestone for expanding EHang’s eVTOL flight footprint to the 18th?country globally. With the permission of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), the company is also planning to conduct flight tests on EH216-S in Thailand.

The company has successfully achieved piloted, untethered vertical take-off and landing for the first time, marking the beginning of Phase 2 of its testing.

AutoFlight recently hosted a comprehensive Type Certification expert review meeting for the Prosperity 5-seater passenger eVTOL aircraft at its Kunshan manufacturing centre near Shanghai – marking a key milestone in the air taxi’s certification process.
The expert group reviewed reports from the applicant and review team covering Prosperity’s design features, the approach to determining type certification basis, the draft certification basis, and preparation instructions. Following questions and discussion, the expert group commended the work completed by both the review team and applicant. They provided important guidance and suggestions regarding the proposed review basis and clauses, while offering clear direction for subsequent compliance methods and verification procedures.
