AA-ISP Response Audit Winners (Top Ten)

Is following up on leads important? I think it is, and apparently the winners of our lead response audit for this year do as well. Every year, we conduct thousands of lead audits.
What is a lead audit?
It's when InsideSales.com uses its technology to go on your website and submit a lead on your most obvious webforms. We then have our AI technology track responses and score how good or how bad you are against our database of thousands of others.
This ain't my first rodeo. We've now done over 200,000 audits. That's a lot of data and that's a lot of audits.
Let me share with you some of the results of auditing every company who came to the AA-ISP Leadership Event in Chicago this year.
Summary All Companies at AA-ISP
Average time: 39.79 hours (1.66 days)
Average persistency: 3.15 touches
Let's break that down for a minute. 39 hours means as soon as we submitted a lead it took 39 hours for a phone call to happen. 39 hours is bad, it's really bad. In fact, it's worse than the average for our entire database which sits at 38.35 hours. The same holds true for the persistency metric as well. Our database average is 4.47. That means the average lead has 4.47 touches total over the duration of the cadence. Sadly, companies who visited the AA-ISP Chicago event this year again did worse than the average with 2.29 total touches
Summary Top 10 Companies at AA-ISP
Average time: 12.35 minutes
Average persistency: 7.00 touches
Not all the news is bad. As you'd expect, some companies did really well and others did really...not well. When we examine the top ten companies across response time and persistency, the story changes in a big way. The average response time is 12.35 minutes and the average persistency is 7.00 total touches. Not too shabby. Our AI-based data set says response time for high priority leads should be under five min and total touches should be in the 6-10 range.
Summary Top Three Companies at AA-ISP
-Average Time: 7.04 minutes
-Average Response: 9.66
Look at these rock stars. Seven total minutes for first response and nearly 10 touches. These guys don't mess around.
Congrats to all the winner! Trophies for the top three winners are on our their!
P.S. If you are asking questions like:
"Isn't there times you should not respond to leads?"
"If I'm running an account-based model, isn't lead response a bad idea?"
"Should all leads be responded to in under five minutes?"
