Background - Divya I need urgent help in creating my newsletter. I think I am missing out on creating a perfect one; quoted Robert (client's name hidden for privacy). I said, before you make one, let us complete our remaining podcasts...please record your intros and outros my team will fit them into your podcasts.
While Robert is completing his pending tasks, let me give this opportunity to my readers FIRST to get some important insights into creating a perfect Linkedin Newsletter especially finalizing a catchy name ......Robert will get my coaching support a little later.
In the earlier newsletter, I shared 7 reasons to create your own Linkedin Newsletter and how to create one.
You may also want to read how to practically create one with step by step approach.
Besides that, you can also see Linkedin Newsletter Help Section.
However, this article expects me to focus on "ASUR guidelines to give a perfect name to your Linkedin or any other Newsletter".
Brainstorm on Newsletter's name - I must have got hundreds of invites of Linkedin Newsletters by now.
The first thing that catches my attention is - the NAME or IDENTITY of the newsletter.
REMEMBER LINKEDIN HAS A CHARACTER LIMIT FOR NEWSLETTER NAME
Follow 4 "ASUR" principles - Your newsletter got to be - Attention-grabbing, Simple, Unique & Relevant.
1) Attention-Grabbing - The first principle of any content creation or marketing is - it gotta be grabbing someone's attention.
If your Newsletter's name, description, or title of the articles cannot grab attention in 3-5 seconds then you are merely wasting your and others' time.

For example Science & Tech for CXOs. It immediately attracts the attention of CXOs. Another example - Fool-Proof Fail-Safe Tech. These names are great enough to attract the attention of the right audience.
2) Simple - Too complex names of newsletters will divert the attention of readers to something else. They just will scroll up and your opportunity to make them stick to your newsletter is gone forever.
For Example - A newsletter's name is "Onomatopoeia of Marketing" (it means Buzz of Marketing...but its so difficult to read and understand....why not keep it simple such as "Marketing Buzz for Everyone" haan?
3) Unique - If it isn't unique, it will become part of the crowd, for example, Sales Tips by Ronit......So what....unless Ronit is a huge personal brand or an influencer or top authority in his field, Linkedin users won't care. Therefore ensure a unique name .....
4) Relevant - Then comes Relevant, if Ronit is targetting it to a relevant target audience then it would be a hit, for example, "Pro Tips for every Sales Guy."
Check for yourself A-S-U-R framework to zero down a perfect name for your newsletter is so simple.
What is in the future - I will continue to add value through lot of new stuff here. Stay tuned.
