The 9th Rewards, Benefits and Wellbeing Summit Roundup
On the 5th – 7th June, Summit Events hosted the 9th Rewards, Benefits, and Wellbeing Summit at the Dolce CampoReal Hotel in Lisbon. This event connected a great group of Rewards and Benefits decision-makers with unique solution providers, offering them a platform for professional and business growth via a series of engaging learning sessions, productive networking, and relationship-building opportunities.
The summit commenced with a delightful wine-tasting session, offering delegates and suppliers a chance to try and learn about 3 delicious wines from the local region. This enjoyable activity also provided the perfect setting for attendees to socialise and enjoy the sun.
Once everyone had settled in, delegates and solution providers got to know each other further through our evening Drinks Reception and 3-course Dinner. James McKenzie Wills Limited very kindly sponsored the dinner, placing sweets and a postcard at each person's place. There were even two lucky winners of an Amazon gift voucher and a free will writing service.
We were also honoured to be joined by World Record Holder, Olympian, and Gold Medalist Hurdler Collin Jackson. In his keynote, ‘The Olympic Rings of Life,’ Collin shared some of his sporting experiences, emphasising the importance of hard work and perseverance while also giving us insights into life after retiring from the track.
‘Really excellent - he was so likeable, open & honest, and there were some takeaways we could use in our day to day jobs’ - Head of Rewards– Merlin Entertainments – On Collin Jackson's Keynote.
On Thursday, 1:1 meetings between delegates and solution providers kicked off. These pre-scheduled meetings facilitated vital conversations and allowed for the formation of long-lasting relationships.
‘I like the model of the prescheduled meetings. You have a set time that you're dedicated to talking to someone rather than walking around tables. When walking around tables, it’s really easy to walk away, whereas, with booked sessions, you are more mindful and focused.’ Head of People & OD Operations & Rewards - University of Manchester
In addition to the pre-scheduled meetings, delegates enjoyed a range of strategy group sessions from top speakers. Topics such as ‘Unknotting the Global Benefits Tangle’ and ‘Creating a Sustainable Reward Strategy’ were covered. With such a rich and varied selection of speakers, delegates were able to discover the latest developments in the industry.

Throughout the event, there were numerous networking opportunities, including dinners, lunches, and coffee breaks, which allowed delegates to share ideas, challenges, and insights into different industries.
On our final evening, we were treated to a lovely trip to AdegaM?e, a local winery (you can see there's a theme here). Here, attendees enjoyed a lovely evening of food, wine and amazing views. Some even managed to pop into the shop for a souvenir.
Overall, the Summit provided a platform for solution providers and delegates to learn, share ideas, and connect.
‘A really great summit, the venue was fab and a very productive two days. The agenda/timetable worked well and had the right balance of networking 1:1s and strategy groups. Thanks to all the efforts you and your team had made’ - Head of Human Resources - Aria Healthcare
