INDUSTRY UPDATE?

• To prepare for the comeback of Chinese tourists, the Northern Ireland Bureau China and Tourism Ireland held a Game of Thrones themed event in China to promote Northern Ireland’s music and film sites. Game of Thrones is very popular in China, so the team re-created the famous scenic spot – Dark Hedges (King’s Road in Game of Thrones) at the venue and wow-ed attendees.

• The German National Tourist Board recently held a media salon in Beijing to promote 17 cities with historic highlights. The salon aimed to reawaken Chinese tourists’ longing and yearning for travel to Germany through vivid and interesting stories.
