94% of salespeople are NOT doing this on LinkedIn (and they should be)...

I recently ran a poll on The Daily Sales LinkedIn page on which 7,248 salespeople voted on.
The results of that poll didn't surprise me, but they may surprise you. What the results do is show one of the BIGGEST opportunities for salespeople right now...
If 94% of salespeople aren't doing this yet, now is your time to get ahead.
The poll that I shared asked one simple question...
How many audio voice messages do you send on LinkedIn per day?
(I'm going to show you exactly how to send them in this article so keep reading if you want to create more sales opportunities and pipeline with them)
Now before we continue, let me just highlight some of the REPLIES & RESPONSES that I have received, and have seen by other salespeople, who have been sending audio voice messages on LinkedIn from their prospects:
"I didn't know you could send messages like this on LinkedIn! Thank you, I'd love some more information"
"This message was great! Yes I'm interested in booking a meeting"
"No one has sent me an audio message before, good job! I'm open to hearing more about your product"
Let me explain why this is such an exciting opportunity just like COLD CALLING used to be...
Can you imagine being one of the first salespeople ever to make cold calls? Back all those years ago when the phone was still new and people LOVED getting phone calls?! The salespeople brave and bold enough to make them cleaned up.
Well, audio voice notes are still new, especially to LinkedIn and especially in the B2B space.
Even out of the 6% of salespeople that are sending them, 4% are only sending 1-10 per day.
To help I'm going to show you EXACTLY how to send them and what to say
How to send audio voice notes on LinkedIn
You'll need to use the mobile phone LinkedIn app, which when you log in and go to send a message to someone, next to the space where you would normally write the message on the right hand side, you'll see a microphone image.
When you select that button, you'll see the above pop up. When you're ready you'll need to press AND hold that blue section in the middle with the microphone on it. You need to keep it held for as long as you're recording, and when you're finished, take your finger off the button.
NOTE - You can record up to a maximum of 60 seconds per audio voice note
Once you've finished, it will ask you if you want to send the message. If you made any mistakes (we all do, it's normal!), you can cancel it and record it again until you get it right. When you're happy, click send and the message will send.
BIG QUICK SALES TIP - Audio voice notes are the perfect follow up message
If you've sent a written message to a prospect (and you can go back 6-12 months) and they HAVEN'T replied to you, go back and try sending an audio voice note instead.
What should you say in an audio voice message?
There are many different types of audio messages you can send and I write about several of them along with scripts in my book The Ultimate LinkedIn Sales Guide. To help you and your sales teams get started though let me share one example here with you.
IMPORTANT NOTE - You should always do some research before you send any messages to prospects on LinkedIn as you'll want to include the highest possible level of personalisation in the message as possible. Look at their LinkedIn profile, look through their LinkedIn activity, look at their company page, website etc.
Here is an example message that I would record and send:
