93% Increase in Viewership because I Published an Article
Publishing an article on March 3 increased views of my profile 93%
I published an article on LinkedIn on March 3, and even though it only garnered 46 views and 1 like, viewership of my profile increased 93% and I received countless phone calls from recruiters from area codes all over the country, many of these calls went directly to voice mail and messages were left. I didn't call anyone back but this didn't stop the phone calls from coming. Nor the many emails; I should also mention the emails.
I got into a short-lived feud with what I perceived to be an unreal individual because I didn't see how a real individual on LinkedIn could have over 93,000 Likes and 14,000 Comments, in a two-week period, on an article wherein the subject concerned the writer's inability to find a new job after having been laid off. Red flags went off in my mind, viewership of my profile proliferated, and another spike to my received calls and emails resulted from the feud. The article I'm writing now is better written and more interesting as well as already twice as long. But my profile picture isn't that of a face that could launch a thousand ships. I don't expect to get more than 46 Likes and 1 Comment on this article. But I anticipate another spike in my own publicity in terms of more phone calls and emails coming my way in May.
