A Spiritual Walk Across Borders

In an awe-inspiring display of devotion, 92 Buddhist pilgrims from Thailand arrived in Lauria, Bihar, as part of their sacred journey. Walking thousands of kilometers, their pilgrimage spans historical Buddhist sites across India and Nepal, retracing the footsteps of Lord Buddha.

From Thailand to Bihar: The Path of Enlightenment

The journey began on February 19, 2024, in Thailand. Since then, the pilgrims have visited Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, Vaishali, Kesaria, and Kushinagar, before reaching Lauria. Their next destinations include Rampurva in Gaunaha and finally Lumbini, Nepal, where they will complete their pilgrimage on April 1, 2024.

Paying Homage at Lauria’s Buddhist Heritage

Upon arrival in Lauria, the group rested overnight at Vishunpurwa Pokhara Ground in Siswania Panchayat. The following morning, they visited Nandangarh, a site believed to house the remains of Buddha’s relics.
