On 9 October 2023, I advanced a global interfaith appeal for prayer following Israel's 911 terrorist attacks. We have now surpassed the 3000 mark on lives lost and ground operations are about to begin in Gaza.
Tomorrow, on 17 October 2023, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem has called for a a day of prayer and fasting for justice, reconciliation and peace in Israel and Palestinian territories. His appeal letter is attached.
As Chaplain for the HRI:H-II OPSEC 13 Lives National Project and Lordship Community Church, I would like to offer local, state and national interfaith chaplaincy and church support for this humanitarian and security emergency that has enveloped the Middle East.

Israel's 911 - Prayer for the collapse of international security, in a global humanitarian and security emergency.
Stephen M. Apatow, Chaplain for the National 13 Lives Project and Lordship Community Church, that drafted the International Interfaith Peace Declaration after 911, calls for unified prayer of the International Interfaith Community.
Focused on the Terrorist attack in Israel -- 260 bodies recovered from Music Festival, half of number (90 killed at Bataclan), November 2015 Paris terrorist attacks (130). The death toll in the conflict, which began Saturday with a surprise attack by Hamas, has surpassed 1,100. The Israeli death toll has risen to at least 700, including 44 soldiers. -- UK Guardian: Live Updates.
Israels's 911, counterterrorism operations move to house to house, in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria. Mosul represented a 9 month quagmire, requiring house to house urban combat to clear the terrorist factions, after ISIS embedded itself in the civilian population base of the city for over 2 years.
Shani Louk is now the poster child for the Israeli 911, like Neda Soltan was in 2009, prompting a global movement for Human Rights Reporting, Evidence Collection and Witness Protection by HRI: H-II OPSEC Expeditionary Operations, June 2009.
This was followed by the sexual assault of CBS Reporter Lara Logan during the Egypt Protests, in Egypt’s Tahrir Square in 2011. -- Daily Beast.
This spiral is directly attributed to the international community allowing Russian joint military command with Iran and Bashar al-Assad, to advance the Syrian genocide killing over one million, chemical attacks on civilian populations, and even torture of children as spotlighted in the 2014 Syria Torture Report of Children. -- Abandoned- Syria compared to the Holocaust by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon: HRI: H-II OPSEC, 11 August 2015.

International Interfaith Peace Declaration
The weapons are active care, compassion and concern, the vehicle encompasses successful initiatives that address the ills of conflict, ignorance, poverty and disease. -- The Ultimate Objective: Humanitarian Resource Institute.

Apatow, President and Founder of Humanitarian Resource Institute.?In conjunction with the release of this document, leaders from the interfaith community, intergovernmental/non-governmental organizations, United Nations programs and members of the international community are being asked to endorse this initiative as a contribution to the work of peacemaking and nonviolence.

INTERNATIONAL INTERFAITH PEACE DECLARATION
On April 4, 2002, the Humanitarian Resource Institute International Peace Center introduced the initial draft of the International Interfaith Peace Declaration, the full text and revisions of which appear on the following pages.?Following this act the international interfaith community, intergovernmental and United Nations leadership has been asked to assist in the development and support of this global initiative.
PREAMBLE
Whereas the pursuit of peace, the respect for life and human dignity is the objective of the international community,
Whereas the escalation of systemic hatred, anger, animosity and the motive for revenge has resulted in widespread destruction in the name of religion, in direct contradiction to the highest aspirations of the common people,
Whereas the war on terrorism has resulted in widespread military intervention in an attempt to counter further deterioration of international stability, increased conflicts and the potential use of weapons of mass destruction that threaten the fabric of civilization itself,

Whereas it is essential that peace efforts move beyond military interventions and diplomatic relations to a new level of intercultural-interfaith dialogue and cooperation to achieve a consensus for peace on the grass roots level within the borders of every nation,
Whereas the golden rule, as a foundation for peace, is endorsed by all the great world religions and is best interpreted as saying: "Treat others only in ways that you're willing to be treated in the same exact situation," Whereas present conflicts call for open dialogue, conflict resolution and negotiations that will provide a lasting solution for sustainable peace,
Now, Therefore,
WE, MEMBERS AND LEADERS OF RELIGIOUS AND SPIRITUAL COMMUNITIES,
proclaim,
THIS INTERNATIONAL INTERFAITH PEACE DECLARATION is a common standard for all peoples and nations, to the end that every individual and organ of society, keeping this Declaration constantly in mind, shall strive by teaching and education to promote interfaith cooperation and support of progressive measures, national and international, to secure peace and stability.

2 年Where were the hero’s that abandoned the Afghan Villages, after building trust during VSO operations, watching the village leaders and males supporting allied forces, to be executed? Who allowed the Taliban to take over control of all 34 provinces after the 2014 drawdown through 2022, while U.S. bases were still operational? Who allowed VSO and civil affairs to disappear from SOCOM? Who allowed negotiations with Taliban terrorists, leaving out the Afghan government leaders? Who turned over the country of Afghanistan to the terrorist groups that helped plan and coordinate 911? We were mediating these crisis discussions, with direct communications to the leaders of 193 UN member countries. These were the actions that replaced empty words, focusing more on self gain, than mission. Since transitioning the International Disaster Information Network (developed with FEMA) to the Global Special Operations Network in 2011, requesting assistance from 100's of veterans organizations, with zero support of solution oriented strategic plans, just tears when their colleagues join the ranks of over 150,000 veterans suicides since 911, or the terrorists regain control of our Area of Responsibility (AOR).
