On 9/11
Alan Abrams
Chief Executive Officer and General Manager at The Dr. Steve Abrams Memorial Foundation - PetSavers, Inc.
Today, September 11 holds a major place in my heart as well as my soul.
Not only do I remember (like yesterday) the horrible attacks on our nation, but also, September 11, 2007 was the day that I was in multi organ failure at Mayo Hospital in Phoenix and experienced a prolonged (over two month) coma following resuscitation from a fourteen minute cardiac arrest.
From the day that I awoke in November, I have tried to make it my mission to repay G-d for restoring my life by doing only good and paying life forward.
I know that I have failed many of you in many ways and for this I am truly sorry. I will, however, do everything that I can to make things up to those whom I have inadvertantly hurt, and continue to do what I can to thank our Creator for returning me to this beautiful world by helping all that I can, with love, gratitude and faith.
Thank you all for being here for me; for believing in me and for your loving support.
