9/11 20 years on …
It was a nice, fresh morning, everything was suggesting that this will be another beautiful day in sunny California. I drove on the 405 freeway from Costa Mesa to LAX airport to say farewell to my friend. On the way home I stopped over at the Home Depot. A homeless man, or let's say someone I've labeled a crazy person, was excitedly telling me something about hijacking a plane, sure man, go get yourself another beer and let me be.
I got home and was surprised to find Barbra there watching a sci-fi movie. Before I managed to ask, I saw her tears. I no longer wanted to know the name of the movie. I knew. The Home Depot man was not crazy after all. What a pity.
