900 emails
Every 3 months we send about 900 emails and wait for answers.?
When the answers come?
- the biggest group are silent no’s, we never hear from them;
- the second biggest group are “how dare you contact me, who do you think you are,” name calling, etc;
- after that there are people trying to take advantage, people who want work done for free, people trying to sell us whatever they have, tyre-kickers, time-wasters, etc;?
- the smallest group of answers are people who are truly genuinely interested.?
At the end of each campaign we look to recruit only 10 [never more, often less] people to work with.
So… every time we start a new campaign we know all of this.?
And yet, sometimes, we have no heart to go through these rejections and negativity all over again.
But as soon as that happens - we remind ourselves that the main thing is to find this small group of genuinely interested people.?
This group makes all the rest worth it.?
Every 3 months we send 900 emails - and have a lot more conversations - most of which lead nowhere - only to find 10 people.
?
And that 10 people make everything else worth it.?
That’s the point.?
Those 10 people.?
Not the 890 who said no, got angry or who tried to trick us.?
And as soon as we finish one painful and full of negativity campaign - like addicts - we get into the next one. Even if we know that it will bring another wave of negativity, stupid people, hurt, doubt etc… But it will also bring ten amazing souls that we will make relationships with and good business for years.?
