9 Ways to Stay Front in Mind with your Audience

It's kind of a crazy time right now as the entire world is trying to navigate this never-before-seen global shut down.
If you're like me, this week has been trying to figure out what to do with kids at home for an extended period of time, how to keep your business moving forward and how to just stay sane while working from home, some people are experiencing this for the first time ever.
It's ok to feel overwhelmed and unsure of what's happening. I think we all are.
But while everyone is starting social distancing methods, self isolation and lockdowns, the need for social media has just grown exponentially, making this the perfect time for you to stay in front of your audience and share your knowledge.
Here are 9 things you can do right now to raise your brand awareness, keep morale and stay front in mind with your audience.
- ENGAGE ENGAGE ENGAGE! - Don't let your social media profiles go dark right now even if your business is shut down for service, you need to be posting content. If you're in food service, share recipes you love to cook: if you're in health and fitness, GO LIVE on your page and do a workout for everyone. If you're in a service based industry, look at what you can offer your audience that can help THEM during this insane situation. Breathe life into others and they will keep you alive. (Need help with engagement ideas? send me a message with your Niche and I'll help you out!)
- If you aren't running Facebook Ads, NOW IS THE TIME! While your competition is taking their foot off the gas pedal, this allows you to floor it and come out on top. Ad spend is down across all industries right now, yet social media viewership is going to continue to skyrocket over the next few weeks. Get in front of your audience. Use this time and ad spend to build your email list. Create video content that's packed full of value. Give tips and tricks to help your audience out. Offer your freebies, courses, consults whatever you do and help someone right now. People NEED what you're selling. So sell it! (Need to learn how to run ads for your business? - Collaborate with other businesses and create value packed content. Mash up with others in your industry and help each other out. Create a virtual summit or a video series and share with everyone's audiences. This allows you to grow your reach and trust factor, bringing in more eyes to your offerings.
- Create office hours and post a Zoom link so people can just hop in and connect with you. If you're in coaching, COACH! Give an hour of your time and offer a free coaching session. Just give your link out and let your audience know you're there for them. Zoom is free for up to 40 minute meetings. www.zoom.us
- Start looking at other platforms you aren't utilizing yet and start using them. Maybe you aren't on Youtube yet, or Pinterest seems daunting. Use your newfound time to start navigating these.
- Ask your audience what they are going through. Ask them to share their lockdown pics, or what they are doing to keep busy. We're all in the same boat, so encourage sharing and bonding with your community.
- Go into Facebook or Linked In groups and connect with other business owners and entrepreneurs. Give advice and knowledge to everyone. Make yourself visible and create new connections with like minded souls.
- Get your staff involved. Highlight or showcase members of your team, what they do for you or what their roles are. Give praise to them all.
- Create a giveaway for a product or service. Make the giveaway something outrageous, like "best toilet paper costume" or play Minute to Win it games online in a zoom chat. Find something exciting and creative to keep people laughing and having fun, taking their minds off of the situation even for a few minutes.
While we all feel overwhelmed, unsure and a bit lost about how to proceed forward, the key is to continue pushing forward. Don't stop showing up, providing value and giving back to your audience right now. Step it up and give them a reason to continue following you. When the dust settles and business resumes, you are the one they will remember.
